Prepare a ~10-minute presentation about how the course has inspired new thinking about your research, if applicable, or about a topic of deep interest to you. The presentation should include background information about the problem of interest, a recap of the aspect of complex-systems theory that you are invoking, and optionally, relevant data, descriptions of thought experiments, depictions of conceptual models, and lists of new/intriguing questions or research topics that have arisen. Feel free to conclude the presentation by seeking feedback from your peers or posing open-ended questions. There will be up to 10 minutes for discussion or questions at the end of each presentation.
In addition, prepare a short blog entry (equivalent to 1-2 pages of text, with or without figures) to complement/summarize your presentation. The blog entry will be published on the course website. If you log in with your user name you picked at the beginning of class, you should be able to publish a blog post without needing additional admin approval. Contact Laurel with any questions.
